Justin had been making his way to the Astronomy tower to use the telescope to work on his homework after dinner on that Friday night, but now he found himself stood and looking over the railing of the covered bridge that ran between two wings of the castle. It was a glorious view, especially during the rainstorm that was currently progressing overhead. Justin liked the way that the thunder shook the mountain. Scotland was always the place for a good fall storm and even now, in late september, the storm clouds were setting in the students could begin to prepare for the rainy Scotland weather. It would be good, it would definitely help him get into the mood for school more, though Quidditch practice in the rain wasn’t fun. But it was certainly better than Quidditch practice under the hot sun. At least that wasn’t something they usually had to deal with in the Scottish Mountains.

Carter loved the rain! Actually she mostly just loved any excuse to be outside, but rain was one of her favorite things. She often liked to spend her time on the little bridge. She may occasionally climb on top of it to enjoy the sky and the outside even more, but that was neither here nor there. As soon as she found out it was raining, that was where she went. It was the best place. What surprised her was the fact that she wasn't there on her own. "Hi, you enjoying this great weather?" Carter asked, trying to place the guy's name. She knew she'd run into him before, but she couldn't quite remember. Eh, she'd figure it out. Sooner or later. Justin E. Finch-Fletchley

Justin heard footsteps approach but he didn’t turn his head or make an effort to move until the person came and stood next to him. He then looked over and saw the face of Carter Black. Of course he knew who she was. But he’d be shocked if she knew him. She was older. Cooler. She was on the Gryffindor Quidditch team and her father was Sirius Black, a well known name in the Wizarding Community. “Yeah, it’s some of my favorite weather too.” he admitted. Justin loved be in the rain, he didn’t always like to be caught in it, but sometimes he didn’t mind being soaked in the downpour. “Wait until the next roar of the thunder. The way it rattled the bridge is incredible.” he smirked. Carter Rose Black

Well, at least he liked the same type of weather as she did. She grinned when he said that it was his favorite kind of weather and Carter nodded along. She loved rainstorms too! It was nice to have something in common with him, while she still tried to place his name. "Rain is always the best," she commented with a confident nod. Nothing could change her mind of that, not that he was trying. He mentioned how it was even better with the thunder and the way it rattled the bridge. Carter couldn't help but lift an eyebrow at him. "Want to do something that'll make it even more fun?" she asked, a bit of a challenge in her voice. What? If he was looking for a good time during a rainstorm, Carter was definitely someone that could help with that. Besides, she was already planning on doing this anyway. The question was whether or not he'd join her. Justin E. Finch-Fletchley

She asked if he wanted to do something to make this even more fun and he looked over at her, turning his head to get a better look. “I guess that depends on what you have in mind?” he asked, raising his eyebrow. He wasn’t a risky person and he didn’t want to do anything dangerous, but from what he knew of the daughter of Sirius Black, she was exactly that type, and Justin kind of feared for his safety when she asked if he wanted to do something else while they were standing on a covered bridge, suspended high above a canyon below.
