[attr="class","box2"]Remus had headed to Hogsmeade this afternoon, after his classes. After all, as a professor he didn’t need to adhere to Hogsmeade weekends. He could go any time he wanted to go. And today he was craving some chocolate from Honeydukes. However, as the professor strolled on into the village, he noticed something. No, he noticed someone. His heart couldn’t take it, and he quickly ran to the nearest building edge and hid behind it, his back to the wall.
He had seen Nymphadora Tonks, sister to his colleague and previous student Calypso Tonks. Cousin to Sirius Black, his best friend. And someone whom he found extremely attractive. He, just in general, was the type of person who didn’t quite know what to do with these sorts of feelings – Dorcas and he only got together because of a drunken night getting them together. He didn’t regret it though. He could never regret it. Regardless, some said he was a brave soul, but he considered himself a coward. Catching his breath, he peered around the corner. Oh good, she wasn’t there anymore. It felt like an eternity that he stood there, watching the empty street when really it was only a few moments. Mentally he slapped himself for being such an idiot. Wasn’t like she could ever like him right?

Tonks was on duty in Hogsmeade today and she was happy to be there. She has always liked the village. It was a good way to get out of the school back when she was a student. Plus, the shops weren't half bad. Especially Zonkos. She was a big fan of that one. She had just done a loop within Honeydukes (what? Candy shops could be hiding dangerous criminals too) when she saw Remus out of the corner of her eye. She chuckled under her breath, and pretended not to notice him all while keeping an eye on him as subtly as possible.
Finally he turned a corner and she whipped around moving to the other side of the building. She saw him peer around, then visibly show relief as he leaned back. She was right behind him in seconds, "oy, something scare ya?" she questioned, eyebrow raised and lip curled in amusement.

[attr="class","box2"]Remus jumped, a hand going to his chest as he turned around to see the origin of the voice, though he knew who had spoke easily from just the way it sounded. He looked to her with wide eyes, his hand on his chest, leaning against the wall. He cleared his throat and straightened himself out. A grown man, hiding from a young lady. He was pitiful. Sighing, he ran a hand down his face. Hell, he needed to shave too. His eyes quickly avoided Tonks’s, and rolled his neck.
”Er, n-no. Not scared. I just... was doing a brick inspection.” He tapped the brick wall behind him nervously. It was a joke, obviously. But a terrible one. He was cursing himself internally for making a fool of himself. ”I thought you were, you know...” He pointed in the general direction he had seen her just prior. ”Anyways, the bricks are pretty solid so I suppose there’s no reason to be standing around in an alleyway anymore.” | [attr="class","box23"] Are you insane like me? She took in his motions - the hand over the heart, running over his face, the clearing of his throat. His looked away from her, speaking with a sort of insecurity. Tonks couldn't help but think he was entirely adorable. She always had, even though he was thirteen years older than her. Tonks didn't think age mattered so much. She remembered his wife and knew his kids, sure, but that didn't make her see him as this big, bad adult. No, Remus's soul was the same and, not that she ever wished anything ill on Hope, but now it was easier to see him as more than just... a friend of the family.
He said he was doing a brick inspection, which she raised an eyebrow at in disbelief. She smirked, amused by the comment. He said he thought she had been the other way, by pointing his finger. She shook her head, "funny you should mention the bricks. I'm here hunting a brick thief. You could help me, unless -" her eyes widened in mock shock, "you're the thief! Have you been stealing bricks to inspect them?" She took a step closer, narrowing her eyes, but the humor in them and in her smile was clear.

[attr="class","box2"]His eyes widened slightly, and he chuckled nervously looking down and spotting a loose brick next to the wall. Then he grinned, a tiny bit of confidence returning to his mind. It usually took a little bit when around someone as pretty as her for him to remember that, ah yes, he was not a terrible person and there were people who actually respected him. It’d be okay even if he made a fool of himself. Even if he really didn’t want to make a fool of himself. If she didn’t like him for being a fool, then what would the point be right?
“Oh, is that so? Well, I can tell you, I’m definitely not the thief.” He slowly bent down picking the loose brick up and bringing it close to his eye and then dropping it to his side. “I can simply inspect them where they are, yes?” While he spoke, he slowly brought the brick up to his jacket and slowly slipped it into one of the larger on the inside pockets of his jacket. “There’s no need to steal them. No ma’am. Out of curiosity, what would the punishment be for a brick stealer?” | [attr="class","box23"] Are you insane like me? Been in pain like me? He made quite the... Adorable little show of taking the brick, looking at it, and slyly placing it into his pocket. Her eyebrow raised with incredible slowness as he did this, and then at the last second of him placing the brick in his pocket her jaw dropped slightly too.
Then she closed it, and opened it again to speak. "Well... The punishment would have to fit the crime...," she suggested, taking a step forward again, her voice dropping in volume and pitch. "I'd have to steal something of yours... hmm, but what?" she planted her feet but leaned forward at the waist, inspecting him. "What do you have that is of worth, Remus Lupin?"
