So I lay my head back down and I lift my hands and pray. To be only yours I pray, to be only yours. I know now you're my only hope. ► Today wasn't particularly rough, but with it being close to that time of the month, her wanderlust was getting the better of her. There was a lot of things her husband could do to cure such a thing, but sometimes all she needed was a walk and a cool breeze to help her ... well, breathe.
She didn't have a particular location in mind, just kinda let her feet take her where they wanted to go. Though she had a hunch she would end up by the lake at some point, she normally always did.
She yawned heading out through the courtyard.

| ◀ | When do things stop feeling magical? ❤ The weather out here wasn't actually that bad yet. After a couple of hours, the warmth would exhaust her, but she was feeling refreshed at the moment.
More than anything, it was the spur of the moment and availability, was she able to even find someone she knew to play gobstones with.
A couple of games could go by quick enough, depending on what rules they were playing with, but she saw the time they had more as a medium to talk more than anything.
Doing so alone was an advantage used to distract an opponent, but winning at a game like this was far from being on her mind.
"It's not that easy to be certain. I can admit it's disappointing, but it's not like I was the only one aiming for it."
Time and time again, she tended to think back about the position of Prefect, and the responsibilities that it came with.
A position like that being only hand picked, had much more merit compared to her current position as a club president for the school.
Especially with how most wizards and witches their age grew out of this game, flocking towards Quidditch instead.
But as simple as it was, it was still something of an outlet in different ways for her.
She used her wand to grab back her gobstone, shrugging off her feelings on the matter.

So she found it surprising when one did come by. Holding a bag for what she assumed was for gobstones. She hadn't played such a game since she was smaller. The game had become boring to her once Severus had taught her how to win every time.
"You doing all right?" she called out to the student, unsure of their name. There was a lot of children. And she only really, really learned the names of the repeat offenders.
But she couldn't help to check in and see if they were doing all right.

| ◀ | When do things stop feeling magical? ❤ Things were never as simple as they seemed to be. She could try and grasp the reasons, but the fact of the matter was, she wouldn't know the answer without asking outright herself.
It took a lot to even think about doing something like that. A surfacing reason that could make her feel like doing so was appropriate.
There were just as many things that she found to be acceptable, and questioning why she couldn't achieve something wasn't one of them.
That sort of thing should have been obvious, or at the very least, something that she could figure out on her own.
"Just taking the time to think."
A gobstone, opposite of the color she had, was flicked, barely enough to avoid spraying the foul liquid the orb carried within itself.
It was only then did she take the time to look at who was speaking. The school's infirmary came to mind, trying to put something to that face.
She was able to show she could smile fine. If there was truly any worry, she would have headed towards the common room instead of being out here.
"I've talked about it before actually with my Prefect. It helped I suppose."
Mulling over things was just apart of who she was. Familiarity didn't come without feeling some sort of pain or pride from what was on her mind.
With how what she was thinking of dealt with the judgment of the staff here, it did come as an option to hear something she could make use of, without actually coming out to tell of what she struggled with.
"I like to consider myself to be perceptive, when it comes to some of the things that go on in our life. I've yet to see threstals though, so maybe I'm looking at some things wrong."
She didn't think of the lawns here to be too out of place to come to. Not that it wasn't out of the way enough to wonder what some people were up to.
There wasn't anything she could really see that this woman had with her, and it wasn't like adults had to really hide their snogging.

This place was a good place to do that sort of thing. It was, of course, one of the reasons she was out here. Just... to sit quietly and let her mind wander. Perhaps figure out somethings.
Or perhaps she was just stressed. That sort of thing was also happening recently. Like she was on edge a lot of the time and she wasn't sure why like something was on the precipice of happening.
She didn't like that feeling.
"Not seeing the threstals? Ah, well... the reason for seeing them is rather bleary. They only show themselves to those who have witnessed death first hand. Rather dark, isn't it?"

| ◀ | When do things stop feeling magical? ❤ There were a lot of magical creatures out there to be cautious of. Plenty of aggression, even from those that were usually harmless otherwise.
It wasn't a good look in her eyes, which made it another one of those courses not to take after completing O.W.L.s this year.
Threstals and their specific condition of needing to witness death to gain the ability to see them, was a simple one, but hardly what she'd call common.
Still, it was one of those things that showed that she had certain familiarity with something, and something like witnessing death didn't need to occur more than once in her lifetime.
"As much as any other magical creature can be. Threstals, I'm sure their condition would be a reminder to that witness, coming across them."
They were meant to be learning about Threstals this year, which made her wonder if it was going to be more than just a lecture.
Continuing to play her game while she talked, the stink of the gas within the orbs sprayed upon scoring a point, which would be one of many to come, trying to finish the game.
Her nose wrinkled slightly at the smell. It didn't matter how familiar she could get at gobstones. The stench always came off like new, while also taking a minute or so to overcome it.
"There's still a lot more left of the year, but it already feels like a lot is happening."

Thresterals made her think of the things she'd seen... and she shook her head, pushing those thoughts away. She lived in good times.
"Oh, it's never a dull day in Hogwarts. Especially as far as My brother, his friends and my Husband goes."
She shook her head at the thought. They were always getting into some sort of scuffle. Most of the time she just ignored them... at least until it ended up with them in some sort of duel... and they ended up in her infirmary.
Madam Pomfrey didn't even look at them anymore, just let her handle it.
