Neville somehow paled even more as Professor Lupin dared to mutter such a joke. Goddamnit. If this did somehow get around to Professor Snape, no doubt that it would, he would surely be dead by lunchtime tomorrow. Did he have to make such a joke? Especially when one of his kids was just outside the door?!
He set a pleading look upon Lupin, sighing.
Well, out of the frying pan, into the fire, right?
He was well and ready, his wand held high. Just give him the signal already so he could just be done with this demonstration.
The problem, however, was the voice the echoed down the hall...

So I lay my head back down and I lift my hands and pray. To be only yours I pray, to be only yours. I know now you're my only hope. ► There was a thing about being a twin - and it was the telepathy. Or at least having a sense when someone was up to no good.
It was like an annoying ringing in her ears. She wished it had been something that she had gained upon being a mother, but having a brother that had a tendency to get into things, with his two other friends.... well. She gained it early and she gained it well.
And right now was one of those times. There was a disturbance in the force, one might say and it was a strong disturbance.

Professor Lupin waved the students in the doorway into the room and Lily obliged a little, stepping from the doorway into the darker classroom and leaning against the back wall instead. She was seen, she was here, she wasn’t going to shy away from it. Lily also gave a little chuckle at her uncle's joke. She loved her father, but she didn’t mind a joke at his expense. She could only imagine his reaction if he found out, but, it wasn’t like he was going to leave his class to come up here right now. Though several members of his current class were here rather than in the dungeon.
Riley Knight, a younger girl that Lily knew from her own house, joined the group rather than being in her own class as well. “He didn’t volunteer.” Lily shook her head with a smirk. There was no way Neville agreed to do this of his own free will. But Lily was still impressed that he was doing it at all. Neville seemed ready and Remus seemed about to give the cue, but then her mother's voice called through the castle. Lily rolled her eyes. Didn’t her mother have her own job to be doing? How was it that she was even here? Lily couldn’t help but think about how unprofessional it was for someone to yell at a professor during class, it wasn’t like he was doing anything any other professor wouldn’t do, older years were asked to come and demonstrate for younger years all of the time. Sure, this was a little more personal, but everyone couldn’t tip-toe around the castle to protect everyone’s feelings and reputation. Lily’s nails dug into Harry’s arm a little when she heard the voice.

When Nevilles boggart stepped out, Lupins joke made Harry let out one loud bark, then he leaned back, away from the door, to try and seem innocent. It was too late, though. Riley showed up and they were invited inside. Harry stepped in even less than Lily, but he was still halfway in the the door. Anyone else wanting to get in would have to shoulder check him. They heard the voice down the hall and Lily grasped his arm tightly. Harry flinched, and moved further into the doorway, blocking the entrance with his body, to look toward that sound. "Ah, Mrs. Snape, hello," he lifted a hand to give her a wave. "Could you keep it down for a sec? We're trying to give our friend a confidence boost here." He gestured toward the classroom, and didn't move out of the doorway. "I think you spooked him."@my gosh so many tags I think Neville F. Longbottom or Hope L. Lupin is next

Hope's eye grew wide at the sound of her aunts voice coming down the hall and she instinctively moved to block the door as well.
Oh, she knew what it meant when her aunt's voice got like that. It meant someone was going to die.
Or get hexed. One of the two.
"Not volunteer persay," Hope agreed. "But.... coerced into is more the phrase." SHe chuckled. They didn't have tooooo much time before--
Well, there she was. Bright blue eyes like bluebell fire.
Spooked? Rose? Ha! Though, Neville did look even more pale now. She looked back to her aunt. "Let the kid have his go. Surely this isn't all that... disasterous?"
Oh, it was a disaster. She didn't know what her father was thinking - no matter how hilarious it actually was. The fact was - well.... Her Uncle was an intimidating man. And he liked staying that way -- her father trying to sabatoge that....
Even she could feel the oncoming duel... oh boy..

[attr="class","box2"]Remus’s eyes went to those blocking the doorway and he grinned. Such a good troupe of kids. However, he knew that he was in trouble with his sister, but he didn’t mind her coming to see the show – as long as it still went on. He approached Neville and put his hands on the boy’s shoulders. “Do it. Come on. If you can’t, well I’ll just have to end this here.” He sighed and pulled out his wand ready to finish it off if Neville wasn’t up for it. It would be a shame having to show them his Boggart instead.
“You’re welcome to watch Madame Snape,” Remus called back, “But it is highly inappropriate to interrupt my class unless you have some sort of reason – perhaps one of my students is ill, I do so hope you have a reason other than to put a stop to my demonstration of this boggart. It is my job after all.” He looked back at the door and smiled at his little barricade of students. “If you want to have a talk with me, it will have to wait until after class is finish.” | [attr="class","box23"] Are you insane like me? Neville flinched at the sound of the nurses voice and he swallowed, but used the moment of her distracting everyone to cast his spell with a shout.
"Riddikulus!"
As it had the first time, Snape-boggart looked rather put-out at having the spell casted at him, and then looked down, seemingly once again in surprise.
The student he was demonstrating for all giggled, and he heard the exasperated sigh of Professor Snape's wife.
He turned to her with a sheepish look, "sorry Madame Snape..."
Was he really sorry? No, not really. But he wouldn't ever voice the though. It really was kinda funny....

So I lay my head back down and I lift my hands and pray. To be only yours I pray, to be only yours. I know now you're my only hope. ► Rose, impeaded by her own daughter and niece, not to mention Harry Potter himself, sighed. Didn't volunteer indeed! Bullied perhaps! With a shake of her head she pursed her lips.
"Honestly, Remus.... you know once he hears about this the both of you...."
Another agitated sigh. However, she didn't miss the small smile on Neville's lips as the class erupted into giggles. It wasn't all that terrible, and it was actually funny. It's just too bad her husband didn't find it as innocently funny as the rest of them did.
Remus' fault, really.
She huffed out another sigh. "No, no talk. You've already... dug your hole, I'll just let you lie in it. And clean up afterwards."
She shot a half disappointed look at her brother with a roll of her eyes.

Her mother was causing a scene, but Harry stepped fully into the doorway, blocking any further entry and Lily smirked, he was a handy one, wasn’t he? She knew there was a reason that she kept him around. Her mother lectured the professor but Remus Lupin wasn’t having any of it. His response was exactly what she would expect of any professor and Neville went on to continue his demonstration. The boggart of her father was covered in the clothing of an old woman and she smirked a little too. Not because she found it funny, exactly, though it was, but mostly because of the reactions that everyone around her was giving. The first years were eating this up. Lily offered Neville a silent little clap of ‘well done’ from the back of the room. She knew he could do it, he just needed to wrap his head around it.

Neville was still able to cast the spell before the nurse could intervene. At the sound of Neville's voice, Harry quickly turned his head to look at the boggart. He chuckled a little but tried to not make it obvious. That image never got old. He he turned to Lily, sure that she was feeling incredibly embarrassed right now, but she was just silently cheering Neville on with a smile on her face. He grinned too, stepping out of the doorway, finally, to wrap an arm around Lily's shoulders. "You know, your dad looks good like that. Maybe you should wear Neville's grandmother's clothes," he joked. He was glad the teachers weren't doing all out duel in front of the class. That would have been incredibly inappropriate. Hopefully the tension between them could wait until they could address it without students around. Hope L. Lupin next
